Our fledgling Facebook page captures our attitudes with just the right mix of chuckles, offbeat humor, and the occasional bit of wisdom. Here’s a sampling:

  1. So funny and so true. I especially enjoy the one about concentrating on getting taller….makes me LOL…..

    1. Unfortunately, Tess, I really can attest to most of them personally. I am now WAY more careful about checking for leftover nametags before hitting the ice cream parlor!! -El

  2. I’m not much on facebook these days and missed most of these little gems! They are so you gals and this great blog – keep ’em coming! The getting taller one has been my by-line for decades 🙂 ‘I’d be svelte and gorgeous if I were 6’3″ ……….. ‘

Can you spot the repeat word in #5? 🙂 xo

    1. Geesh! Had to look at it multiple times before seeing it. Wonder what that says about how we read… 😛

    2. Oh my gosh, Pauline – I can’t tell you how many times, and how slowly I had to read, to find it! I went back to the top at least three times to count down to make sure I was at the fifth one. Once you see it, you can’t stop seeing it! That is too funny – and forever out there in internet land!

      1. You can repost it as an example of how the eye and brain work together to read the ‘whole’ paragraph. 🙂 Most people won’t notice it at all, some will feel something is off, but not be sure what and others, pokey old English teachers like me – will pick it! And you are right – like all good puzzles, when solved it’s pretty easy and obvious! 🙂

  3. All adorable… Some so true! I like the definition of cleaning.🌷
