Two-Timing With Facebook
Every once in a while, you just want to shake things up – do something different. Yet we can be limited by the constraints of our obligations, responsibilities and financial resources. So how can we rabble-rouse without going too far or spending too much? One way is to take it to Facebook! Our fledgling Facebook page captures our attitudes with just the right mix of chuckles, offbeat humor, and the occasional bit of wisdom. Here’s a sampling:

So funny and so true. I especially enjoy the one about concentrating on getting taller….makes me LOL…..
Thanks, Noreen – and thanks for being so supportive of our page and for the positivity on yours!
These have been a trip. Thanks for the giggles. I shouldn’t laugh, but these are so t.r.u.e. 😀
Unfortunately, Tess, I really can attest to most of them personally. I am now WAY more careful about checking for leftover nametags before hitting the ice cream parlor!! -El
I would feel sooooo guilty if I spent a whole day reading, but I have been very tempted at times! ~Elle
I am dying to actually find out how guilty I would feel by spending the day reading, Elle – I suspect not as much as I should!! -El
I’m not much on facebook these days and missed most of these little gems! They are so you gals and this great blog – keep ’em coming! The getting taller one has been my by-line for decades 🙂 ‘I’d be svelte and gorgeous if I were 6’3″ ……….. ‘
Can you spot the repeat word in #5? 🙂 xo
Geesh! Had to look at it multiple times before seeing it. Wonder what that says about how we read… 😛
We see what we want to see? 🙂
Oh my gosh, Pauline – I can’t tell you how many times, and how slowly I had to read, to find it! I went back to the top at least three times to count down to make sure I was at the fifth one. Once you see it, you can’t stop seeing it! That is too funny – and forever out there in internet land!
You can repost it as an example of how the eye and brain work together to read the ‘whole’ paragraph. 🙂 Most people won’t notice it at all, some will feel something is off, but not be sure what and others, pokey old English teachers like me – will pick it! And you are right – like all good puzzles, when solved it’s pretty easy and obvious! 🙂
An example of how the eye and the brain work together, indeed – as well as an example of how the brain sometimes doesn’t work at all!!
All adorable… Some so true! I like the definition of cleaning.🌷
I think I’m running out of “less obvious” places in my house, Tricia – I may have to resort to camouflage!
Smiling chuckling snorting guffawing… 😀
A little too relatable, aren’t they? (I bet you didn’t have too much trouble picturing a certain someone with her WW nametag on – blush!) -El
Love them all, gave me a laugh whilst doing my domestics and checking emails.
Glad we could contribute a smile to your day, Kath! -El
